Who Is Dominick Wright, The Son Of The Late American Rapper Eazy-E?

Dominick Wright, the son of the late American rapper Eazy-E, did not choose his father’s profession, despite the fact that his father was regarded as one of the godfathers of Rap music.

He chose to pursue a career in acting and modeling instead and is most recognized for his role as Curtis in the movie “Mistaken” (2015).

On September 6, 1991, Dominick Wright was born to his parents Eric Lynn Wright, known as Eazy-E, and his wife Tomica Woods in Los Angeles, California. 

His father was one of the founding members of the gangsta rap group N.W.A. Straight Outta Compton, their debut studio album, was released in 1988.

Although his father, Eazy-E in his brief 30-year existence, was notorious for having different women and fathering 11 children. Daijah Wright is Dominick’s only biological sibling, who was born six months after Eazy-E’s death.

As a result of his father’s various relationships, Dominick Wright has a large number of siblings. Their names are Marquise Wright, David Wright, Lil Eazy-E Wright, Erin Bria Wright, Ebie Wright, Erica Wright, and Raven Wright.

When Dominick Wright was born, his parents were dating at that time and were not married. Soon after Eazy-E’s health started to deteriorate, they got married on March 14, 1995. It was just 12 days before the legend died.

Because of his father’s untimely demise, Dominick Wright only had spent two years with him. On March 16, 1995, Eazy-E was diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and then made a public statement about his devastating condition.

The rapper’s sudden death, which was surrounded by conspiracy theories, generated quite an uproar in 1995. The cause of death for Eazy-E was AIDS-induced pneumonia.

Career

Dominick Wright performed in a number of films in an attempt to get into acting, something he had dreamed about since childhood.

Dominick first rose to prominence as the son of Eazy-E, who was once a rap legend. Dominick set his goals to achieve success on his own after several controversies erupted around his father’s past. 

However, before his father was thirty, he had made it big, such as fortune, fame, and success. Dominick chose an acting career and became a stuntman. 

Dominick made his debut in 2010 in Total Rewrite, as Derrick Rhodes. His filmography includes Count on Me, The Fairy Prince, Indiewood, and Mistaken.

Unlike his brother, Daijah Wright is another well-known female rapper in the music industry. She followed in her father’s footsteps. 

Her sister, Daijah appeared in the Season 3 of Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta. In that show, rapper Da Brat worked with hip hop legend Debra Antney to develop the Artist Boot Camp.

The Love Story of His Parents

In 1991, Eazy-E and Tomica Woods met at a Los Angeles nightclub and they connected right away. Although they knew each other before but never gone on a date.

He was turned down by Tomica on several occasions. She wasn’t seeking Eazy’s money, which explains why he regarded her differently than others.

Eazy-E was very close to her and spent a great deal of time with her. Woods was someone for whom he was willing to go to any length.

They were called the love birds by their friends and spent a great time together. Because Eazy-E had several hookups, she is the one woman he considers to be his life partner before he died.

The couple tied the knot on March 14, 1995, in a hurry, because the rapper was already diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and having a hard time.

At first, they thought he had only a cough and wheezing. But Eric Wright had been unwell for a while but assumed he was dealing with asthma that runs in his family.

Woods was pregnant with Diajah Wright at that time and Dominick Wright was only two years old when his father lost the battle of his life in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

The Renowned Record Label

When the rapper died tragically, Tomica took over Ruthless Records, which made news in 2017. It was one of the most renowned independent labels in rap and hip-hop history, having been launched in March of 1987.

Tomica Woods-Wright had the task of maintaining the company on top. She avoided challenges from others desiring a part of the firm.

Not only that, she also began encouraging musicians and business professionals that she has the commercial skills required to run the successful company.

During the NWA’s pinnacle, Ruthless Records made an astounding $10 million per month from record sales exclusively. His expensive lifestyle, on the other hand, led his fortune to dwindle at the end of his life.

She also filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against her stepson, Eric Darnell Wright (aka Lil Eazy-E), for using the names Ruthless Records and N.W.A.

According to the case, Eric founded a company named NWA-LLC and applied for a trademark for “Ruthless Records Inc.,” but the US Patent Office denied it because it was “confusingly similar” to his late dad’s Ruthless Records.

According to The Wrap, the settlement was reached in 2018 and Lil Eazy-E was granted the right for using “the trademark ‘Rich & Ruthless.’”

Another controversy was that the LA Times wrote that Ruthless was paying six moms and seven children quickly after Eazy’s death in March 1995. 

This act was suspicious and was investigated but nothing came up. Meanwhile, Ruthless co-founder Jerry Heller reminded the Post thatno one really knows for sure how many children he had.”

The Mysterious Death of Eazy-E

Ebie Wright, one of Eazy’s daughters, E’s had a peculiar feeling and dug into the past to learn more about the conspiracies surrounding her father’s death.

In the four-part Web television series, The Mysterious Death of Eazy-E, Ebie comments, I have never believed the official story of my father’s death.

She also stated that she and her mother had been striving to find out what occurred and why the rapper died so quickly.

Tracy Jarnagin also spoke up on the matter. Something just did not seem right, claims Eazy-ex. 

He died unusually fast. He did not lose weight, he was not a drug abuser; it’s like, one day, he’s fine, the next day, he’s dying,” she stated.

Where Is Dominick Wright Now?

Dominick Wright keeps a low profile and is not active on his social media accounts. He prefers to live his life according to his own rules. He established himself as the most successful of Eazy’s sons despite being the youngest.
