Bert Girigorie, Wendy Williams’ ex-husband, was born on March 13, 1964. He was raised in the United States of America, in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2021, he turned 57 years old.

According to his Twitter bio, Bert Girigorie is a sales and marketing expert based in Charlotte, North Carolina. He met Williams while working as an account executive at Kiss FM at the time when Williams was an on-air presenter. 

According to LinkedIn, he has been the president of G2 Marketing since 2010. G2 Marketing is a “digital marketing business offering marketing services for a portfolio of companies and a small group of customers.” 

Bert Girigorie attended and graduated from Morehouse College, a historically black college, and is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Bert Girigorie’s Relationship with Wendy Williams

Bert Girigorie’s first encounter with Wendy Williams was at a New York City radio station, Kiss FM. He used to work as a DJ there. After numerous meetings, Bert and Wendy Williams began to get to know one another. 

Their casual get-togethers developed into dates, and eventually, the couple started dating. Bert and Wendy agreed to marry each other shortly after that. After exchanging vows and being pronounced husband and wife, they enjoyed a little celebration in 1994.

Unfortunately, tension, misunderstandings, and disagreements occurred between the couple after only five months of their marriage, Bert and Wendy began to live apart. Their marriage did not last long, and they divorced in 1995, after only one year of marriage.

Their marriage was shattered owing to a variety of factors. Bert Girigorie and Wendy Williams did not even attempt to resolve their marital problems. 

Wendy’s cocaine-fueled character, according to the 57-year-old, was frequently shown and rarely perpetuated in her original state, which made a huge difference in their marriage. Wendy Williams’ apparent addiction, he feels, is to blame for all of their marital strife.

On the couple’s romantic getaway in Rio, Girigorie said that the honeymooners had a huge quarrel when Williams intended to leave him and go out alone.

He assessed her strange conduct as frivolous and speculated that it may be linked to her suspected drug usage. Bert went on to add that once the divorce was finalized, he overheard people discussing Wendy’s alleged indiscretions with other guys even when they were together. 

The tv show personality claimed Girigorie mistreated her in her autobiography “Wendy’s Got The Heat,” which Bert has vehemently denied.

Bert Girigorie said she had been unfaithful to him. Girigorie has claimed recently that “the acid-tongued host’s antics became so out of hand that her spouse “was at a loss.”

Why Did Wendy Williams Leave Him Out Of The Biopic?

Wendy Williams has yet to explain why she did not take into account her first love, Bert Girigorie. How can someone forget about their ex-husband while recounting stories about their own trials and tribulations? At the very least, they had a year-long relationship.

Wendy Williams’ Life is Full of Ups and Downs

The 54-year-old was reportedly revealed to be a resident of a sober house in Queens’ Long Island City. However, after finding that her husband Kevin Hunter had a kid with Sharina Hudson, she reverted and began drinking.

In the past, the pair had a child named Kevin Hunter, Jr., who was born in the year 2000. He had been unfaithful to Williams for the first time when she was expecting.

Wendy Williams Now

The popular TV star, Wendy Williams, known for her witty questions with celebrities, has been off the air for the whole 13th season of The Wendy Williams Show due to health difficulties, but she stated in an Instagram post on Monday that she is “making progress.”

Wendy Williams was tested positive for COVID-19. She was supposed to return to her programme on October 4, but it was postponed, and she’s been replaced by guest hosts.

In the TV show, host Wendy Williams had recovered from COVID in September but she could still feel the post COVID symptoms with additional health complications, so the show was delayed to October 18.

Special hosts would take over the program after Williams’ chronic illness appeared out of nowhere. Graves’ illness is an autoimmune disorder that causes an overactive thyroid gland, causing “serious complications,” according to a subsequent update. 

Williams had announced that she would be taking a break from her programme in May 2020 owing to her illness. In her recent Instagram post, Williams acknowledged those guest hosts, as well as her team, the syndication firm, and the stations that broadcast her talk show.
