KP finance dept fails to make use of annual improvement fund

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Finance Division hardly managed to spend some funds on three initiatives out of seven improvement initiatives, included within the Annual Growth Program (ADP).

The provincial authorities had allotted Rs 18.22 billion to seven initiatives of the finance division of the present monetary 12 months’s ADP of which the finance division has launched Rs505.989 million within the final six months, whereas the division has spent Rs 130 million on three initiatives till August. 

The provincial authorities has spent Rs6.7 million allotted for the mission to extend the capability of the finance division, whereas Rs 120 million, out of Rs3.965 billion, has been spent on KP Income Mobilization and Useful resource Administration Program. Equally the provincial authorities has Rs3.8 million, out of Rs 14.2 billion, on the higher improvement mission.

The KP finance division sources mentioned that the speed of allotted funds’ spending was extraordinarily sluggish over the past six months whereas division has didn’t make the most of even a single rupee on three initiatives until August. 

The political “chilly struggle”, mentioned the sources, between the provincial and federal governments has led the province into a really important scenario as not solely the continuing uplift initiatives of the finance division have been delayed, but in addition necessary initiatives, included within the ADP of different departments, received delayed attributable to lack of funds.
