Yesterday in Beverly Hills, a founding member of the Pointer Sisters handed away.
Anita Pointer handed away on Saturday accompanied by her household, based on publicist Roger Neal.
The household stated in a press release: “Whereas we’re deeply saddened by the lack of Anita, we’re comforted in realizing she is now together with her daughter Jada and her sisters June & Bonnie and at peace.
“She was the one which saved all of us shut and collectively for therefore lengthy. Her love of our household will reside on in every of us.”
Within the Seventies, the Oakland, California-based Pointer Sisters first achieved success.
In 1994, the trio acquired recognition with a star on the Hollywood Stroll of Fame along with three Grammy awards.
After June Pointer and Bonnie Pointer handed away in 2006 and 2020, respectively, Ruth Pointer is the only remaining sister of the musical group.
After her daughter handed away unexpectedly in 2003, Anita began elevating her granddaughter Roxie McKain Pointer.
The trio revealed their debut album in 1973, and between that 12 months and 1985, they amassed 13 US Prime 20 songs and three Grammy Awards.
