In accordance with the Annual Growth Programme (ADP) 2022–23, Punjab Transport Firm would make investments Rs. 208 million within the building of 200 new bus cease shelters and 600 flag posts in Lahore.
Muneeb Sultan Cheema, the transport minister for Punjab, introduced that the enterprise would formally open 26 new, modern bus shelters on Canal Highway. In line with him, the undertaking’s preliminary section would see the set up of 52 flagpoles and 26 new bus shelters alongside Canal Highway.
Cheema informed the reporters that these bus shelters and flagpoles have been constructed by the Lahore Growth Authority (LDA) after receiving bids. The value to construct every bus cease shelter was Rs. 936,000.
26 bus stops have been constructed on Canal Highway within the first section, together with Thokar Niaz Baig, Canal View, Mughal Eye Hospital, Hangarwal, PCIR, Federal Colony, New Backyard City, and Campus Bridge.
